The 24th National Mathematics Olympiad for Students was held at the University of Quy Nhon (Binh Dinh) from 11/4 - 17/4/2016, the VNU University of Science team achieved excellent results with 01 Special prize, 05 First prizes, 03 Second prizes and 02 Third prizes.
The 24th National Mathematics Olympiad for Students was held at the University of Quy Nhon (Binh Dinh) from 11/4 - 17/4/2016, the VNU University of Science team achieved excellent results with 01 Special prize, 05 First prizes, 03 Second prizes and 02 Third prizes.
The 24th National Mathematics Olympiad 2016 attracted the participation of 82 student teams from universities and colleges; 12 student teams from specialized and gifted high schools across the country.
The exam included two majors: Algebra and Calculus. After 04 days with a total of 795 performances, the Organizing Committee awarded 09 Special Prizes, 67 First Prizes and 124 Second Prizes for the contestants. The VNU University of Science has achieved 01 Special Prize, 05 First Prizes, 03 Second Prizes and 02 Third Prizes, which are as follows:
- Dao Quang Duc (K59 Mathematics Honors Program): First prize in Algebra and Second prize in Calculus;
- Tran Manh Hung (K60 Mathematics Honors Program): Third prize in Calculus;
- Tran Xuan Thang (K59 Mathematics Honors Program): First prize in Calculus;
- Trinh Xuan Du (K60 Physics Honors Program): Third prize in Algebra;
- Nguyen Van Duc (K59 Mathematics Honors Program): Second prize in Algebra.
The 25th National Mathematics Olympiad for Students in 2017 is expected to be held in Phu Yen University.
