On Wednesday 16th November 2016, the Rector of VNU University of Science - Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Noi had a meeting with the delegation of Universities from Ireland. There are representatives of Ms. Andrea Ryan - International Office Executive, Dublin Institute of Technology; Ms. Orla Flynn - Vice President of External Affairs, Cork Institute of Technology; Mr. Vincent Barry - ICD Business School; Mr. John Joe O’Farrell - Director of International Engagement, Galway Mayo Institute of Technology; Ms. Josephine Page - Director of International Education Division, University of Limerick. Accompanying the delegation were the presence of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Do Minh Duc - Head of International Relations & Administration Department, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Thi Hong - Deputy Head of Undergraduate Academic Affairs Department and Dr. Nguyen Minh Hai - Deputy Head of International Relations & Administration Department, VNU University of Science.
Speaking at the opening, the Rector - Nguyen Van Noi welcomes the delegation and introduces briefly about the VNU University of Science.
The representatives of Irish universities have suggested some cooperation programs with the VNU University of Science. The issues of exchanging students programs, scholarships, funding of training activities, joint research programs were mutually discussed.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Noi thanks for detail information about cooperation programs which have been shared in the meeting. Furthermore, the Rector would like to expand cooperation in scientific research by organizing scientific seminars and international conferences between two sides in the future.
