Welcoming the delegation from National Dong Hwa University, Taiwan

On 13 November 2017, Vice Rector - Prof. Dr. Phan Tuan Nghia had a meeting with delegation from National Dong Hwa University led by Prof. Yuan Ron Ma - Associate Dean Office of International Affairs, Head Department of Physics and Mr. Kevin Yang - President & CEO of AdNaNotek Corporation.

On 13 November 2017, Vice Rector - Prof. Dr. Phan Tuan Nghia had a meeting with delegation from National Dong Hwa University led by Prof. Yuan Ron Ma - Associate Dean Office of International Affairs, Head Department of Physics and Mr. Kevin Yang -  President & CEO of AdNaNotek Corporation. Accompany the delegation had the representatives of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Do Minh Duc - Head of International Relations and Administration, Dr. Ngac An Bang - Dean of Faculty of Physics, VNU University of Science.

At the meeting, Prof. Dr. Phan Tuan Nghia stresses on the long-term relationship between two sides by the MOU which was signed since March 2013. Moreover, Vice Rector would like to expand the cooperation between two Universities to higher level, set up cooperative projects and exchange programs for students and teachers in the future.

On the National Dong Hwa University side, Prof. Yuan Ron Ma would like to have more cooperative programs for not only students but also scientific staff, faculties and laboratories between two Universities to exchange experience, expertise and research results. Furthermore, Professor highly appreciates the VNU-HUS’s students with hardworking, intelligent, creative and idealist as well as the quality of education of the VNU-HUS and wishes to share the teaching experience and ideas together.

 On behalf of Faculty of Physics, Dr. An Ngac Bang shares that two Universities have had many cooperation and exchange programs in Physics through the MOU which was signed in 2013. Dean of Faculty of Physics (VNU-HUS) would like to suggest renewing the MOU for expanding the cooperation of two sides with more short or long term exchange programs for students and scientific staff in the future.

The meeting opened new opportunities for cooperation between the two sides and will continue to discuss the renewing of the MOU.

The National Dong Hwa University (NDHU) is a national university located in Hualien County, Taiwan. Founded in 1994, considered the high prestigious university in Eastern Taiwan, it has the 3th widest range of disciplines among universities in Taiwan, including the sciences, engineering, design, environment, law, arts, social sciences, education science, marine science, and music. The University consists of 8 colleges, 38 departments, 56 graduate institutes, some research centers, and serves over 10,000 undergraduate and graduate students.

National Dong Hwa University (NDHU) put the importance of academic exchange and collaboration as one of their priorities. Therefore, the University actively seeks opportunities of exchange and cooperation with higher educational and research institutes worldwide. Currently, NDHU has developed academic links with over 40 universities and research institutes domestically and internationally.
