VNU University of Science and University of Rostock (Germany) to cooperate on producing robust small-sized wind turbine

During the visit to the Federal Republic of Germany on July 6th , in the event of G20 summit, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc and Germany Government representatives witnessed the signing of a memorandum of understanding on joint research and production of “Compact and Robust Wind Turbine” (CART) between VNU University of Science (HUS) and University of Rostock of Germany.

During the visit to the Federal Republic of Germany on July 6th , in the event of G20 summit, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc and Germany Government representatives witnessed the signing of a memorandum of understanding on joint research and production of “Compact and Robust Wind Turbine” (CART) between VNU University of Science (HUS) and University of Rostock of Germany.

HUS was assigned as the executor of the project to directly work with its partner. In the colloquy between PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc and German Chancellor Angela Markel, the project was mentioned as a demonstration of the Science and Technology cooperation between the two countries.

PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc asserted that Vietnam regards developing its relationship with Germany, the longtime and dominant Europe partner of Vietnam in many spheres, as a top priority in its agenda. The two sides agreed to promote technology transfer in areas which Germany favors and Vietnam intrigues, namely wind power, food industry, information technology application, biology in sustainable development.

The MoU signing between HUS and University of Rostock in Vietnam-Germany Business forum

After the ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Noi - Rector of HUS, and CART delegation worked with their partners in two days 6th and 7th of July, 2017.

Prior to this, in May of 2017, the Rector of HUS met Dr. Frank Adam and his associates at Rostock for discussion on the steps of the projects in Vietnam. On June, Dr. Frank Adam and his associates visited HUS and selected Hai Hau, Nam Dinh and Con Co, Quang Tri as the candidates to experiment the project.
