VNU University of Science and Anhui University of Technology (China) in partnership

On July 18th 2017, the signing ceremony between the VNU University of Science (HUS) and the Anhui University of Technology (AHUT) took place at the former’s premise, following up by a cooperative agreement between VNU Key Laboratory of Advanced Materials for Green Growth (KLAMAG) and School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering of AHUT.

On July 18th 2017, the signing ceremony between the VNU University of Science (HUS) and the Anhui University of Technology (AHUT) took place at the former’s premise, following up by a cooperative agreement between VNU Key Laboratory of Advanced Materials for Green Growth (KLAMAG) and School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering of AHUT.

At the event, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Noi - Rector of HUS and Prof. Dr. Zu Ming - Vice President of AHUT, the representatives of the two institutions, signed the memorandum of understanding. Being the Director of KLAMAG, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Noi signed an agreement with School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering of AHUT.

Dr. Nguyen Minh Hai, Deputy Head of International Relation Office of HUS, had a presentation about the history, curriculums, research, and achievements of HUS. Based on each party’s interests and conditions, they discussed and reached a consensus on the cooperative terms. They all shared the hope and expectation on prospering the partnership through student and staff mobility, research and services.

Anhui University of Technology (AHUT) was founded in 1958, located in Ma’anshan, Anhui Province. It is a multidisciplinary university with engineering as its focus, while maintaining balanced programs in science, management, humanities, economics, law and arts. It has over 20000 students, 18 unit members, also a key institution of higher learning in Anhui province. It is one of the 100 key universities in central and western China receiving privileged support from the Chinese Ministry of Education (MOE), and also a higher institution listed by MOE for implementing “Outstanding Engineering Education Plan”. According to Shanghai University Ranking in 2017, AHUT is listed at the top 6% out of 2800 universities in China. AHUT has also established quite a few international research centers and institutes for inter-collegial and inter-governmental scientific research projects, implemented student mobility programs with universities from America, Korea, Germany, Sweden, etc.
