Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Noi paid a visit from August 31st to September 1st, 2017. Also joined the delegation, there are Prof. Dr. Sc. Nguyen Van Mau - Chairman of Science and Academic Council, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Duy Cam - former rector, and heads and deputy heads of administrative offices.
Prof. Nancy Y. Ip - Vice-President for Research and Graduate Studies and Prof. Yang Wang - Dean of Science met and held talks with the delegation about the universities and prospective cooperation initiatives.

The members of the delegation spent most of their time on the meeting and visiting HKUST facilities, especially Life Science’s and Material Science’s. Prof. Yang Wang, deans and vice deans of departments namely Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Biotechnology of HKUST School of Science welcomed and worked with them. The two parties reached an agreement on collaborating dual-degree programs for postgraduate in a number of fields, hosting summer programs for students, Mathematics and Physics Olympiad participants, exchanging students and staffs. In the last academic year, after coming to HUS, HKUST invited a number of HUS students from the faculty of Physics, Chemistry, and Environmental Science to take part in a few summer and short-term programs.
