At the invitation of National Chiao Tung University (NCTU), the rector of VNU University of Science (HUS) - Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Noi paid a visit from the 23rd to the 25th of August, 2017. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Do Minh Duc, the head of HUS Administration and International Relation office, joined the delegation.
At the invitation of National Chiao Tung University (NCTU), the rector of VNU University of Science (HUS) - Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Noi paid a visit from the 23rd to the 25th of August, 2017. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Do Minh Duc, the head of HUS Administration and International Relation office, joined the delegation.
On NCTU side, Prof. Sin-Horng Chen - vice rector for International Relation, Prof. Henry Horng-Shing Lu - vice rector for academic affairs, and Prof. Edward Y. Chang - vice rector for technology affairs received and hold a business discussion with the delegation.
At the premise, Prof. Sin-Horng Chen and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Noi had a brief introduction about HUS and collaboration opportunities that they can move forward to.
The delegation spent most of their time of the trip on the NCTU College of Science. Prof. Lin Yaw-Kew - former Dean and Prof. Yung-Fu Chen - Dean of the College greeted them. The two sides reached a consensus agreement on constructing dual degree programs for postgraduate in a number of fields. For the incoming academic year 2017, NCTU would provide a scholarship for 15 HUS students in the field of Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, and Biotechnology, offering them a short internship at the NCTU.
