On Thursday, September 14th, 2017, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Noi – Rector of the VNU University of Science had a meeting with Prof. Sakurai from Kochi University (Japan) for signing the cooperation agreement between two universities. Accompanying were the representatives of Assoc. Prof. Le Thanh Son - Dean of Faculty of Chemistry, Assoc. Prof. Nguyen Quang Huy - Dean of Faculty of Biology and Dr. Nguyen Minh Hai - Deputy Head of International Relations & Administration Office, VNU University of Science.

The agreement between two universities provides mobility and exchange of researchers, lecturers, administrative staffs, students and research activities.
Kochi University is a national university in Kōchi, Kōchi Prefecture, Japan and which was chartered in 1949. The University located between the Shikoku Mountains and the Nankai Trough, is a comprehensive university offering education and research under the slogan “From Regionality to Globality” and “From Globality to Regionality”.
The meeting has opened many opportunities for cooperation and development between the two sides in the near future.
