On September 16, 2022, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Ngac An Bang, Vice Rector of the University, together with leaders of functional departments and the Faculty of Environment had a working session with representatives of Monash University (Australia), Australia and Malaysia campuses.

At this meeting, a representative of Monash University introduced its organizational structure, research centers and training programs related to the fields of sciences and applications, emphasizing the wish to cooperate with the VNU-HUS in training and scientific research, especially within the framework of the State-funded Project 89 "Improving the capacity of lecturers and managers of higher education institutions to meet the requirements of fundamental and comprehensive renovation of higher education institutions in the period 2019-2030". Speaking at the meeting, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Ngac An Bang stressed that VNU-HUS was willing to create favorable condition for academic exchange, be open for opportunities to collaborate in scientific research and training with Monash University. The two sides pledged to keep their scientists and training institutions in close connection so as to organize joint activities such as scientific seminars, exchange of staff and students as well as cooperation within the framework of Project 89, further strengthening their ties.
