Vo Hoang Hai - a 11th grader from VNU HUS High School for Gifted Students won a gold medal at the International Physics Olympiad 2023 (IPhO 2023).
IPhO 2023 is considered the biggest event of its kind as it has attracted 398 students from 84 countries and territories across the world.
All five Vietnamese students sent to the 53rd International Physics Olympiad 2023 in Japan from July 10-17 have brought home medals, including two golds, two silvers and one bronze.
The two gold medals went to Vo Hoang Hai - a 11th grader from VNU HUS High School for Gifted Students and Nguyen Tuan Phong – a 12th gader from Bac Ninh Specialized High School, Bac Ninh province.
The two silver medalists were Nguyen Tuan Duong – a 12th grader from Tran Phu High School for the Gifted, Hai Phong and Le Viet Hoang Anh – a 12th grader from Lam Son High School for the Gifted, Thanh Hoa province.
The bronze medal was taken by 12th grader Phan Thế Mạnh from Bắc Ninh Province.
The awards ceremony is scheduled to be held on July 17.
