On September 21, 2023, on Hoa Lac campus, VNU held a ceremony to commend and reward the students - the 2023 International Olympiad winners, from VNU University of Science High School for Gifted Students.
VNU Vice President Nguyen Hoang Hai congratulated 13 students - the 2023 International Olympiad prize winners and awarded VNU President’s Certificates of merit to the medalists at the international Olympiads and International Science and Technology competitions in the 2022-2023 academic year, together with a bonus of 15 million VND for each gold medalist, an 8-million-VND bonus for each silver medalist and a 5-million-VND bonus for each bronze medalist.
The VNU leader also awarded VNU President’s Certificates of merit to 26 mentor teachers from HUS High School for Gifted Students for their achievements in helping students to win medals in the Olympiads in 2023, with a money bonus specified in Decision No. 1595/QD-DHQGHN.
Speaking at the ceremony, VNU Vice President Nguyen Hoang Hai highly appreciated the outstanding achievements of the teachers and students from HUS High School for Gifted Students over many consecutive years in the regional and international academic arenas.
He affirmed that, with the mission of training high-quality human resources, discovering and nurturing talents for the country, over the past years, VNU has always shown its position as the main pillar and leader in the education system, making great contributions, including those by HUS High School for Gifted Students, to the country’s education and training.
Up to September 2023, VNU HUS High School for Gifted Students has won 290 medals including 73 gold medals, 83 silver medals and 73 bronze medals at the international Olympiads and Asia Pacific Olympiads in Mathematics, Informatics, Chemistry, Physics and Biology.
Notably, in 2023, VNU HUS High School for Gifted Students won 4 gold medals in Mathematics, Informatics, Chemistry, Physics; 2 silver medals and 2 bronze medals in Informatics and Biology.
