The University of Sciences signs a memorandum of understanding with CTIC Vietnam

On the morning of May 10, 2023, the University of Sciences (VNU Hanoi) organized a signing ceremony for a memorandum of understanding with CTIC Vietnam Company Limited. The goal is to enhance internship opportunities for students in the Faculty of Physics and the Faculty of Chemistry while promoting cooperation between the university and the business sector.

At the beginning of the signing ceremony, representatives from the university and the company gave an overview of their respective organizations. Through these introductions, representatives from both sides further recognized the similarities that provide a strong foundation for the development of a cooperative relationship between the institution and the company.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Prof.Dr.Scs. Vu Hoang Linh, Rector of the University, shared: In recent years, in addition to training and research, the University of Sciences wishes to promote cooperation with businesses. Being a leading university in Vietnam in the field of basic science, the University of Sciences (VNU Hanoi) provides high-quality human resources for businesses. The University also hopes to receive support from businesses in matters related to internships for students, scholarship programs, as well as exchange and collaborative research efforts.

Prof. Dr. Scs. Vu Hoang Linh hopes that the areas of collaboration between the University and the Company will not only open up opportunities for students of the Faculty of Physics and the Faculty of Chemistry but also expand opportunities to students of other Faculties.

With good intentions and a desire to collaborate, the representative of CTIC Vietnam, Mr. Ha Dung, CEO of the Company, hopes that the signing ceremony will lay the foundation for building a good, professional working and internship environment for students of the university. With quality personnel currently working at CTIC Vietnam, including alumni from the University, the Company hopes to receive the attention of the University and hopes that the collaboration between the two sides will continue to grow in the future.

According to the memorandum of understanding between the University of Sciences and CTIC Vietnam Co., Ltd., the two sides have identified each other as partners in supporting and creating an internship environment for students, as well as collaborating in scientific research activities and organizing thematic seminars. The specific content of cooperation is as follows::

Implement a scholarship fund for students in difficult circumstances and those with outstanding academic achievements. In the first year, CTIC will award 10 scholarships to students from the Faculty of Physics and the Faculty of Chemistry with a total value of 100,000 million VND. In the following years, the Company may increase the value and number of scholarships awarded to students from the university.
CTIC Co., Ltd. will accept interns from the Faculty of Physics and Faculty of Chemistry, and together with the University of Sciences (VNU Hanoi), will organize regular field trips to the company’s main office as well as its key laboratories of Physics and Chemistry.
To exchange and update scientific advances and innovate thinking in the analytical and experimental activities related to the Company's business scope, CTIC Vietnam will cooperate with the University of Sciences to organize events, and scientific seminars featuring experts from both sides..
CTIC Co.Ltd. commits to providing 100% employment support for students from the University of Sciences who are studying in fields related to Chemistry, Physics, and Environmental Science. Students who are selected will receive 100% financial support for training (including English - Chinese languages, machine operation, competency certificate, etc.) Along with that, the company will create conditions for students to have stable career opportunities (signing long-term contracts for 5 years) with attractive salaries based on their abilities.

Within the framework of the memorandum of understanding signing ceremony, representatives of the faculties and functional departments of the University of Sciences had specific discussions related to the cooperation areas between the two units.

Dr. Nguyen Thanh Binh, Head of the Department of Politics and Student Affairs, hopes that the Company will soon have specific criteria for selecting scholarship recipients for the upcoming time. The Department and various faculties will select students who meet the criteria set forth by the Company.

The representative of the Faculty of Chemistry, Associate Professor, Dr. Mac Dinh Hung, Vice Dean, is very eager to reach an agreement with the Company on the number, duration, and criteria for sending students for internships at the Company shortly. Based on the similarities in research equipment and operations, Associate Professor, Dr. Mac Dinh Hung proposed establishing a research group between the Faculty of Chemistry and the Company to jointly implement related research issues.

Appreciating the collaboration between the University and CTIC Vietnam, Dr. Pham Van Thanh, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Physics, hopes that the Company will walk hand-in-hand with the university and its students, not only in internship and practical activities but also in student scientific research activities, where students can assert their research ability.

Regarding collaborative activities such as organizing seminars and themed workshops, Dr. Le Huu Tuyen, Deputy Head of the Department for Cooperation and Development, hopes that the two sides will soon agree to proceed. The Department and the university will support the dissemination of information to the staff, faculty members, and researchers currently working at the university.

Through discussion, the two sides agreed to roll out scholarship programs for the University's students before the start of the new academic year 2023 - 2024.

With a team of leading experts in scientific research and key laboratories at the National and VNU levels, Deputy Head of the Department for Science and Technology, Dr. Dinh Nho Thai, hopes that the university and the Company will have many effective practical activities.

Mr. Tran Kien Lam, Director of Advanced Physics Engineering, affirmed that in addition to students from the Faculty of Physics and the Faculty of Chemistry, the Company plans to also welcome students of microbiology major from the Faculty of Biology for internships and employment.

After the memorandum of understanding signing ceremony, representatives from both units will have specific discussions to put the agreed collaborative activities into practical implementation.
