Strengthening Collaborative Relations with the University of Warsaw, Poland

On the morning of March 29, 2023, a delegation from the University of Warsaw, Poland visited and worked with the leadership of the University of Sciences.

During this mission, Prof. Anna Wysocka - Former Vice Dean of the Faculty of Geology, the University of Warsaw, expressed her enthusiasm for expanding the existing cooperative relationship between the two institutions. Professor. Anna Wysocka previously visited and worked with the Faculty of Geology, HUS back in 2014, where she signed an MOU for educational and scientific research collaboration. Subsequently, the University of Warsaw dispatched staff and student delegations for academic exchanges and project participation with their counterparts in the Faculty of Geology, HUS.

In the meeting, Associate Professor, Dr. Tran Quoc Binh expressed delight over the initial success of the collaborative relationship. He hopes that future cooperative endeavors will not be confined to just two Geology Departments of the two Universities but could extend to other fields such as Mathematics and Physics, etc., fields in which HUS has earned high international rankings. Associate Professor, Dr. Tran Quoc Binh also proposed the possibility of organizing online courses shortly before officially conducting student exchange programs.

GS. Anna Wysocka agreed with the views shared by the HUS representatives. On behalf of UW, she extended an invitation to co-host a large-scale international conference scheduled to take place at the end of the year. She also mentioned short-term training courses available during the UW summer term and expressed hope that HUS would consider sending a delegation to participate, thereby accelerating the process of formalizing a university-level MOU between the two institutions.

Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Tai Tue – Vice Dean of the Faculty of Geology, affirmed the faculty’s commitment to working diligently with both institutions in preparing for the forthcoming MOU signing ceremony.
