On the morning of April 24, 2023, a delegation from the University of Valladolid, Spain had a working session with the leadership of the University of Sciences, VNU Hanoi to discuss plans for cooperation and development between the two universities.

Led by Prof.Dr. Felipe Bravo, the delegation from the University of Valladolid (Uva), Spain, is expected to spend one week working with the University of Sciences, as well as other units within Vietnam National University, Hanoi.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed and evaluated ongoing collaborative activities. Representatives from the University of Valladolid expressed their desire to continue strengthening and sustaining the cooperative relationship between the two universities.

Prof.Dr. Felipe Bravo, Professor, PhD. Jose Kilchenmann and other members of the delegation shared information related to issues such as online lectures, short-term courses, dual degree programs, and student exchanges at master's and doctoral levels. Accordingly, students and graduate students will have a period of 3-6 months studying and researching at the University of Valladolid and will be granted a certificate upon completing the exchange program.

AssocProf, Dr. Ngac An Bang highly appreciated the collaborative proposals from the Valladolid University delegation. The partnership will offer various opportunities for sharing experiences and expertise, benefiting not only faculty and researchers but also postgraduate students. To achieve the highest efficiency in this collaboration, AssocProf, Dr. Ngac An Bang hopes that during the upcoming working week at the University of Sciences, faculties and experts from both institutions will work out specific details for exchanges. This would set the groundwork for signing a memorandum of understanding at both the university and faculty levels.

Dr. Le Huu Tuyen, Deputy Head of the Department for Cooperation and Development, affirmed that he would support the signing of the MOU between the two units so that it would proceed quickly and in accordance with regulations. In addition, the Department for Cooperation and Development is ready to support training and faculty and student exchange activities between the two universities.

AssocProf, Dr. Bui Quang Thanh, Head of the Faculty of Geography, noted that the two universities offer many similar training majors and can mutually support each other. This serves as a promising foundation for specific steps in the cooperative relationship between the two universities in the near future.

Representative of the Faculty of Biology, AssocProf, Dr. Pham The Hai, Dean of the Faculty, shared information about the training majors offered by the Faculty and expressed his interest in the programs introduced by the University of Valladolid.

AssocProf, Dr. Pham Thi Thuy, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Environmental Sciences, hoped that both her Faculty and the University of Valladolid could exchange and collaborate in the field of Food Technology, a new training program that has attracted much interest from students and society at large.
