On Tuesday morning 12th April 2016, Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Nguyen Tien Giang had a meeting with Prof. Dr. Alex Schafran Alexis Comber from Department of Geography, University of Leeds, United Kingdom.
Speaking at the meeting, Dr. Nguyen Tien Giang emphasized, the VNU University of Science is always interested in cooperation with universities and research institutes around the world. The University has been working with a number of the Britain universities such as the University of Glasgow, the University of Nottingham,…. Hopefully, through the meeting, the University of Science and the University of Leeds will establish cooperation, particularly in the field of geography.
In addition, the professors from the Faculty of Geography, University of Leeds in collaboration with Department of Geography, University of Science held a scientific seminar on the theme "Calculate Property Price Index Applications theoretical Position - Quality ". Some content were presented and discussed at the workshop included: spatial and time data analysis - overview and applications; Urban Restructuring in California; New methods of real estate valuation on the basis of quality theoretical position, ...
At the seminar, the scientists also discussed the direction of scientific research collaboration between the University of Science and the relevant organizations of Vietnam with the University of Leeds in the framework of the search for cooperative scientific research proposals for funding from Newtons Fund (United Kingdom) and NAFOSTED Fund (Vietnam). The program has been carried out from the connection of a research team, led by Dr. Hoang Huu Phe (Vinaconex R & D) is the leader. Team members are from the University of Science, Vietnam National University Hanoi, University of Construction, National Economics University, Institute of Information and Technology, GeoViet Co. .
