On June 27, 2023, Quacquarelli Symonds released the edition of the QS World University Rankings 2024 (QS WUR 2024). Accordingly, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU) maintained its position in Top 1,000 world’s best higher education institutions according to the new ranking criteria of QS WUR.
The QS WUR 2024 ranked 1,499 universities out of 2,963 participating educational institutions from 104 countries and territories (83 institutions participated in this ranking for the first time).
According to the ranking criteria of QS WUR 2024, VNU was highly appreciated by employers with its Employer Reputation and Employment Outcomes given the highest scores. Notably, the Employer Reputation remarkably rose to 439th position - an increase of 62 places compared to the QS WUR 2023 ranking (from 16.6 points in the QS WUR 2023 to 21.1 points in the QS WUR 2024).
The QS WUR 2024 ranked all five previously ranked Vietnamese universities with 2 Vietnam National universities maintaining their presence in Top 1,000 for 6 consecutive rankings.
The QS WUR 2024, the 20th edition of QS WUR, has made a big change with 3 new indicators and modified weights for 3/6 old criteria. The 9 indicators still include the assessment of the academic community and the employer community as well as additional criteria to assess the impact of higher education institutions on sustainability, graduate employability and international research collaboration.
