On September 14, 2023, Dr. Do Thanh Ha, Deputy Head of the Faculty of Mathematics - Mechanics - Informatics had a meeting and working session with representatives of ISIMA, which is under the Polytechnique Institute of Clermont-Auvergne (Clermont-Auvergne INP) and a member of University of Clermont-Auvergne, French Republic.
During the exchange, both sides discussed and agreed to promote the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MOU) between Vietnam National University, Hanoi, and the University of Clermont-Auvergne University (UCA). Various collaborative contents in training were agreed upon:
- The two sides will conduct an exchange of lecturers and experts. ISIMA can send lecturers to the Faculty of Mathematics - Mechanics - Informatics to teach for periods ranging from 2 weeks to 1 month and vice versa, lecturers from the Faculty will go to France for durations from 1 - 3 months.
- ISIMA may also facilitate student exchanges to the Faculty for courses offered in English as part of the Cis program.
- On an annual basis, ISIMA will grant scholarships to the Faculty’s students and graduate students. Notably, exceptional graduates may be offered the chance to directly pursue a Master's level 2 program in France. These scholarships will comprehensively cover tuition fees and provide additional financial support for living expenses during the study period. Moreover, students and graduate students from the Faculty will be provided with opportunities to engage in laboratory research and to embark on a PhD journey immediately upon completing their Master’s level 2 coursework.
In this collaboration exchange, ISIMA awarded the first scholarship to Do Duy Dao, a first-year master's student in Data Science at the Faculty of Mathematics - Mechanics - Informatics.
