Cooperative relationship with the Polytechnic University of Hauts-de-France established

On the morning of October 14, 2022, VNU-HUS had a meeting and working session with representatives of the Polytechnic University of Hauts-de-France , France.

On behalf of the Polytechnic University of Hauts-de-France, there was Professor Abdelhakim Artiba - President of the University Polytechnique Hauts-de-France and representatives of its staff.

On behalf of VNU-HUS, there were Assoc.Prof.Dr. Vu Hoang Linh - Secretary of the Party Committee, Rector; Assoc.Prof.Dr. Ngac An Bang - Vice President; representatives of the Department for Cooperation & Development and leaders of the Faculty of Mathematics - Mechanics - Informatics, Faculty of Physics and Faculty of Chemistry.

At the meeting, Professor Abdelhakim Artiba gave brief introduction about the Polytechnic University of Hauts-de-France. This is the first institution in France to follow the direction of Polytechnic University, providing training programs that integrate science and technology with social sciences and humanities. Their motto is to always put students at top priority and students' needs are the most important factor to take into consideration when developing new programs.

He highly appreciated the quality and reputation of VNU-HUS in research and training in the fields of basic science. Given the two institutions’ many similar fields, he hoped a cooperative relationship would soon be established between the Polytechnic University of Hauts-de-France and VNU-HUS. The Polytechnic University of Hauts-de-France expressed its willingness to offer scholarships for outstanding students of VNU-HUS so that they could enroll in the upcoming spring semester.

For many years, VNU-HUS, especially the Faculty of Mathematics - Mechanics - Informatics, the Faculty of Chemistry and the Faculty of Physics, has had cooperative relationships with French research and training institutions. Many of its staff, lecturers and students have studied and researched in France under prestigious projects and scholarships. On that basis, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Vu Hoang Linh – Rector, agreed to the proposal to establish a cooperative relationship between the two institutions.

Assoc.Prof.Dr. Ngac An Bang, Vice Rector, hoped that in the near future, the two institutions would work and agree on the method of communication and proceed to sign an agreement to cooperate. In the mean time, joint activities between the two universities such as organizing seminars and exchanging staff and lecturers would be promoted.

Also at the meeting, representatives of Hauts-de-France Polytechnic University had detailed discussions with leaders of the Faculty of Mathematics - Mechanical - Informatics, Faculty of Physics and Faculty of Chemistry, all of which are leading units in the field of basic and applied sciences within VNU-HUS.

The meeting ended with the hope that a good cooperation between the two institutions will soon be established in the near future.
