On Friday, 16th December 2016, in Nguy Nhu Kon Tum Hall took place the first performance of the Friendship Choir.
The Friendship Choir is the joint project between the Korea Foundation and the VNU University of Science to provide opportunities for students to experience choral genre, a kind close music, allowing participants express themselves in music.
Moreover, joining the show also includes performances by guest artists from the Women's Choir and Korean Church Choir.
Present at the concert, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sc. Vu Hoang Linh - Vice-Rector of the VNU University of Science said: "As someone who became interested and listening to classical music from 5 years ago, I am delighted to support this collaboration. I believe that, through this project, the students have been equipped with the basic knowledge of music, and more importantly they feel a warm friendship with international friends in general and Korean friends in particular”.
Friendship Choir consists of 53 students from many different universities in Hanoi such as the VNU University of Science, National Economics University, Banking Institute, VNU University of Social Sciences and Humanities, etc. With regular training schedule of two sessions a week with musical director, commander Park Sung Min, from strangers who cannot even speak the same language, the members of the Friendship Choir are getting closer through a common language - Music.
