The 9th National Chemistry Olympiad for Students in 2016 was placed from 04/17/2016 to 04/22/2016 at Hanoi University of Industry with the participation of 220 students from 44 teams belonging to 35 Universities, Colleges and Institutes in Vietnam.
The 9th National Chemistry Olympiad for Students in 2016 was placed from 04/17/2016 to 04/22/2016 at Hanoi University of Industry with the participation of 220 students from 44 teams belonging to 35 Universities, Colleges and Institutes in Vietnam.
This is useful playground by Vietnam Chemical Society in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and Training held biennially. The contestants were divided into 3 tables based on the Universities and majors. Table A was the VNU University of Science, the Pedagogical University and the Faculty of Education. The contestants in this table will contest the theory and practice of general chemistry, inorganic chemistry, analytical chemistry and organic chemistry. Table B for the Universities of Chemical Engineering and the Universities of Medicine and Pharmacy. The contestants in this table will contest the theory and practice of general chemistry and inorganic chemistry. Table C for the non-professional chemistry Universities and specialization colleges such as the chemical pedagogical colleges, candidates would take the theory and practice of general merchandise.
Coming to the 9th National Chemistry Olympiad for Students in 2016, the VNU University of Science team includes Dr. Nguyen Minh Ngoc (Team Leader), Dr. Vu Ngoc Duy (Deputy Leader) and 5 students: Lo Tuan Son (QH.2012T), Nguyen Tien Tuan Anh (QH2013T), Le Thi Thu Huong (QH2015T), Le Thanh Dat (QH2015T), Le Nguyen Truong Giang (QH2015T) contestants in Group A.
At the result, the VNU University of Science team won 02 first prizes and 03 second prizes. 02 first prizes came to the students: Le Thi Thu Huong and Lo Tuan Son. In addition, Nguyen Tien Tuan Anh, Le Nguyen Truong Giang and Le Thanh Dat achieved the second prizes. In particular, Le Thi Thu Huong – the contestant received the highest overall score of Group A, was awarded first prize by the Ministry of Education and Training.
The Tenth contest will take place at the Hanoi University of Science and Technology in 2018.
