On October 7th, 2014, Posco T.J.Park Foundation presented 15 scholarships to excellent VNU students with a value of 500 USD each.
Attending the ceremony were Mr. An Sung Gu - Posco Office Representative in Hanoi, Mr. Đinh Văn Hường - Head of VNU Politics and Students Affair Department, representatives of VNU functional deparments and academic units and 15 excellent students who received Posco scholarship in the 2014-2015 academic year.
With the aim of contributing to the education development of VNU in particular and of Vietnam in general, VNU and Posco T.J.Park Fund Foundation signed a cooperation agreement in 2005. After 10 years of operation, until now, 190 outstanding students of VNU have been awarded T.J.Park Posco Fund scholarship, with a value of 500 USD each.
At the scholarship presentation ceremony, Mr. An Sung Gu - Posco Office Representative in Hanoi said besides the annual scholarships program presented to 275 outstanding students at 25 well-known universities in 13 different Asian countries, Posco Asia Fellowships also invites Asia outstanding students to Korea to experience Korean culture and get the opportunity to register the Korean Master and PhD Fellowships. Mr. An Sung Gu hoped to see VNU students receiving scholarships of Posco in the 2014-2015 academic year in Korea again.
Mr. Đinh Văn Hường - Head of VNU Politics and Students Affair Department said that this scholarship is not only a reward but also a timely encouragement for VNU outstanding students to strive and cultivate themselves so as to become the useful people and establish themselves for a bright future. VNU highly appreciates this good deed, considering it as a cooperation with practical value, contributing to helping the younger generation in their learning career.
