On Friday morning, 7 April 2016, Vice Rector- Associate Prof. Dr. Nguyen Tien Giang had a meeting with Ms. Kashpireva Tatian from Tula National Pedagogical University, Russian Federation.
Ms. Kashpireva Tatian said that the Tula National Pedagogical University has strengths in training Language Pedagogy, Social Sciences and also in Science. Purpose of visit and work this time to seek opportunities for cooperation in education and scientific research with the VNU University of Science (VNU-HUS) in Chemistry, Biology and Medicine.
Vice Rector Nguyen Tien Giang shared that the VNU University of Science has established partnerships with a number of universities and research institutes of the Russian Federation including People’s Friendship University of Russia, Petroleum Institute - University of North KavKaz, Leningrad Hydro Meteorological University and so on. The VNU University of Science glad to cooperate with Tula National Pedagogical University in the future. However, to increase chances of selecting and attracting students, the University should develop an international program of training in English according to common European standards.
Representing the two Universities have come together to discuss possible areas of cooperation and agreement will soon be signing a memorandum of cooperation, create the deployment of application-specific activities in the future.
Tula National Pedagogical University, Russian Federation is one of two universities in the city of Tula which has many Vietnamese students. Not only is one of the leading educational institutions of higher education system in Russia, the University is also an active member of the International Association of Universities.
Tula National Pedagogical University has 29 departments and 10 faculties: History and law; Philology and Russian documentation; Natural Sciences; Physical; Technology and business; Mathematics, physics and computer science; Foreign Language; Art, Social Sciences and Humanities; Psychology; International (Faculty of Management of foreign students in general). The University is implementing currently 57 specialized training and the higher education sectors, 25 specialized postgraduate majors.
