Seminar "The Global Education Program: Sustainability Science, Technology and Policy" - The Global Education Program: Sustainability Science, Technology and Policy, Asia (SUSTEP Asia) by VNU University of Science (VNU-HUS) coordinated with the University of Tsukuba, Japan held from 20 to 23 March 2013 at VNU-HUS.
The conference was organized the first time from 18 to 20 June 2012 at the University of Tsukuba, Japan, with the participation of many scientists, experts and managers from Japan, China, Indonesia, Taiwan, Vietnam. The goal of the seminar was introducing an innovative, integrated system of education, for contributing to the development of Asia resources, creating an interdisciplinary and international forum, thereby promoting the deeper development of different educational methods to achieve an Asia of sustainable development.
This conference attracted the participation of more than 30 participants are professionals, scientists, lecturers from the University of Tsukuba (Japan), National Taiwan Normal University (Taiwan), Fudan University (China), Bogor Agricultural University, University of Gadjah (Indonesia) and HUS, VNU. There were 22 reports presented at the conference, with the main content of studying, opportunities and challenges in the field of environmental and sustainable development.
On the sidelines of the conference, a number of students have been studying at the University of Tsukuba have shared the experiences to find JDS Scholarship, governmental scholarships for studying at this university as well as other universities in Japan with students of VNU-HUS.
During the conference, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Duy Cam - Rector of VNu-HUS had a meeting to discuss with the professors of the University of Tsukuba on the directions of specific cooperation between the two universities such as the exchange of students, lecturers,... in the future.
