On Saturday, 19 November 2016, the Faculty of Biology - VNU University of Science solemnly celebrated the 60th aniversary.
Attending the ceremony were representatives of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chu Hoang Ha - Director of the Institute of Biotechnology; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Trinh Van Hanh - Director of the Institute of Ecology and Protection of Public Works; Dr. Hoang Van Thang - Director of Center for Research Resources and the Environment; Prof. Dr. Sc. Nguyen Van Mau - Chair of the Science and Academic Council; Prof. Dr. Phan Tuan Nghia - Vice Rector of VNU University of Science and lecturers and students from Faculty of Biology - VNU University of Science.
Speaking at the opening, the Dean of the Faculty of Biology - Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Quang Huy shares that during 60 years of construction, striving and development, the generations of staff, faculty, students have made great efforts to overcome all difficulties and challenges to become a leading center for training, scientific research of the country in the field of biology and biotechnology.
On behalf of the VNU University of Science, Prof. Dr. Phan Tuan Nghia commends and is grateful to all the generations of lecturers, staff and students about the great contribution for the Faculty. Moreover, Prof. Dr. Phan Tuan Nghia would like to thank the attention, direction and support of the leaders of the Party, Government and the Ministry of Education and Training, the Ministry of Science and Technology, Vietnam National University, Hanoi and the relevant ministries in supporting the development of Biology and Biotechnology in the VNU University of Science during the past 60 years.
