On July 14, 2017, at the International Center for Interdisciplinary Science and Education (ICISE), Quy Nhon city, Binh Dinh province, VNU University of Science held the workshop themed “Promoting Development Cooperation and Quality Assurance in the Context of International Integration”.
On July 14, 2017, at the International Center for Interdisciplinary Science and Education (ICISE), Quy Nhon city, Binh Dinh province, VNU University of Science held the workshop themed “Promoting Development Cooperation and Quality Assurance in the Context of International Integration”.
Participants of the event included Prof. Tran Thanh Van – Director of ICISE, Dr. Le Cong Nhuong – Provincial Commissioner, Director of Department of Science and Technology of Binh Dinh Province, Dr. Vo Ngoc Anh – Director of Research Institute for Socio-Economic Development of Binh Dinh Province, Mr. Nguyen Huu Ha – Deputy Director of Department of Science and Technology of Binh Dinh Province, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Dinh Hien - Vice Rector of Quy Nhon University, Prof. Dr. Mai Trong Nhuan - Chairman of Quality Assurance Council of Vietnam National University, former President of VNU. On HUS side, there were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Noi - the Rector of HUS, and Vice-Rectors, former Rectors, Vice Rectors of HUS. Also attending the event, there were Heads of institutional members, and staffs of HUS.
Commencing the workshop, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Noi welcomed the distinguished guests. He affirmed the demand on active development of quality assurance in the international integration context; together with developing international cooperation, HUS also need to strengthen the ties with localities and domestic organizations, and called for discussion on the focal points.
Prof. Tran Thanh Van on behalf of ICISE delivered his opening speech and affirmed the strength of HUS in the aspects of education and research. He shared the activities in the field of science, and his determination in keeping the support for undergraduates of HUS talented programs.
Dr. Le Cong Nhuong – Provincial Commissioner, Director of Director of Department of Science and Technology of Binh Dinh Province, representing the leaders of Binh Dinh province, felt honored when received the delegation at the workshop at his home province. He shared that Binh Dinh province would do its best in supporting scientists from both HUS and Quy Nhon University, enhancing the link between the universities and the province.
At the workshop, the audience listened to report delivered by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Do Minh Duc – Head of Administration and International Relations Office, about the activities between HUS and localities; Prof. Dr. Mai Trong Nhuan’s report on important lessons learned, and suggestions from QA agencies at the institutional level of Vietnam; reports of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Thanh Son and Dr. Bui Vu Anh. After the presentations, the participants had a heated discussion about the most suitable solutions on cooperating with the locals as well as quality assurance.
Concluding the ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Nguyen Van Noi summarized the remarks of the workshop and asserted that his university will continue to promote and accelerate its activities with the locality more closely alongside of quality assurance to follow the university’s objectives in the term of 2020 – 2030.
