On Thursday, 22nd September 2016, the Inaugural Workshop for Developing Accreditation and Quality Assurance Systems was held at VNU University of Science. The workshop hosted by VNU University of Science with the help of the University of Arizona (USA) through BUILD-IT Project. The workshop has been taken place in 2 days 22nd and 23rd of September 2016.
The workshop aimed at training, updating and sharing information and enhancement of testing capabilities and quality assurance for staffs and leaders of the university.
Through lectures of Prof. Dr. Charles C. Nguyen from Catholic University and Prof. Dr. Scott Danielson from University of Arizona, United States, practitioners have a holistic view of accreditation and quality assurance, such as the overall framework for assessing the quality of a university; comparison of different types of testing AUN-QA, ABET, CDIO; PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Act) in university governance; main activities a university need to do constantly to improve the quality of education at both programme and institutional levels.
