The governing board of the university and the host of HUS Orientation Day, on behalf of the entire staff of the university, welcome the 1st-year students.
The weather was not on their side, a heavy down pour irritated the human flow as well as the activities at the camps. However, the large crowd of student still enjoyed their first day entering the school as the freshmen in the HUS Orientation Day amid the warm and passionate arms of the university.

Due to the rain, The location for handing out forms was immediately moved.
University staff and volunteers from the Student Union went all out to serve new students.
Tran Van Thanh - First-year chemistry major, made it to the university despite the rain and a surgery on his leg. “I love to learn chemistry, perform chemical experiments. Being a student of HUS, I will join football club in spite of my love for it”.
Leading the admission board, Vice Rector, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sc. Vu Hoang Linh and the heads of faculties worked under the rain in order to direct the event. The Youth Union, Student Association and the volunteer students gathered all of their forces to guide the freshmen and manage the main stage of the event.
At the stage, the students and their parents had a chance to get acquainted to the governing board, the representative of the Youth Union and Student Association, Pham Thanh Huyen who held the highest score of the entrance exam, and Ta Ba Dzung – the International Physics Olympiad gold laureate, while entertained by HUS students’ performance.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Noi delivered a welcome message to the freshmen and their parents.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vu Hoang Linh represented the university to clear up questions from new students and parents. Each of them will be provided an email address from the university and communicate to the university through this channel. Other sources of information are the official website and social media page.

Regarding activities of Youth Union and Student Association, Pham Hai Yen - the president of Student Association shared: “In the coming academic year, there are key activities focused on students in the area of sport, talent, science, and an activity for students called “5 Excellences”. Due on next week, the Student Association will offer scholarships to unfortunate students to support them in the coming academic year. Pham Thanh Huyen, who got 1st place in the entrance exam, said: “I chose my major in Biological technology considering my passion for Biology and the reputation of HUS”.
Vu Thi Khanh Huyen and Nguyen Thi Hien, both of whom enrolled in Chemical engineering technology, regretted that they did not join the audience at the main stage, withholding their queries, due to being in the middle of the admission process. “Later on I will do my research on my major through the teaching staff and peers.” Said Hien. As the majority of parents, Nguyen Tam Van, who came from Thanh Oai, believed that the number of the attendance was so huge that it made the event no easy job, in term of reception, management, security. He showed understanding and appreciation for the effort of the host as they put students on their top priority.
Miss Trang, first-year literature major of University of Social Science and Humanity, joining the event with her friend, shared: "I love the performances, especially the dancing show. They are truly talented and amazing".
