Cooperation in scientific research established between Faculty of Applied Sciences, Mara University of Technology, Malaysia and VNU University of Sciences

On the afternoon of March 2, 2023, the delegation of Faculty of Applied Sciences, University of Technology Mara, Malaysia (Universiti Teknologi Mara - UiTM) visited and worked with representatives of VNU-HUS on the mutual cooperation in scientific research and student exchange.

They were welcomed by the head of Department for Development & Cooperation and leaders of the Faculty of Chemistry.

At the beginning of the meeting, the UiTM delegation gave an overview of Mara University of Technology and its research activities in the field of chemistry.

They also introduced its excellent research center and its modern equipment. The UiTM in general and the Faculty of Applied Sciences in particular wished that activities could be carried out to exchange experience in scientific research and equipment operation with experts from VNU-HUS.

Assoc.Prof.Dr. Mac Dinh Hung, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Chemistry, VNU-HUS expressed his goodwill at the invitation to cooperate from UiTM. He affirmed that the experts and lecturers of the Faculty of Chemistry had a lot of experience in operating equipment such as X-ray crystallography machine or nuclear magnetic resonance machine. Therefore, it was ready to cooperate and share experiences with UiTM.

Dr. Le Huu Tuyen, Deputy Head of the Department for Development Cooperation, hoped that a cooperation agreement could soon be signed, according to which, the two sides would agree to offer exchange programs for students and staff to study and research in laboratories as well as jointly organize and participate in international scientific conferences.

At the end of the meeting, the representatives of the two universities gave commemorative gifts, looking forward to cooperation in scientific research being implemented in the near future.
