On 23rd November 2017, Vietnam National University Hanoi (VNU) held the closing ceremony of the AUN-QA 95th at programme level. At the ceremony, the evaluators presented preliminary reports, assessments of the merits and improvements of the training programs.

Prof. Chavalit Wongse-ek, representative of the AUN-QA assessor team, noted the efforts made by the participating units to acknowledge and thank the welcoming of VNU and member universities.

Speaking at the ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Sc. Dr. Vu Hoang Linh - Vice Rector of the VNU University of Science (VNU-HUS) appreciated the continuous evaluation process closely in two working days, and also thanked the VNU with hundreds of active participants in the interview. They are administrators, administrative staff, faculty, students, alumni and employers. "Undoubtedly, after this AUN-QA assessment, the Physical Geography and Meteorology Department will understand more about its current state," said the Vice Rector.

Assoc. Prof. Sc. Dr. Vu Hoang Linh reemphasized the greatest honor when all faculties of the VNU University of Science have training programs that is accredited by the AUN-QA. "We will make every effort to ensure that all our training programs are evaluated by AUN-QA in the near future, while promoting training programs that meet the highest international standards," he said. The Vice Rector asserted.

Assessment program at the VNU University of Science opened from 21st November 2017. During the four assessment sessions, the independent assessor team worked with the Dean of Faculty of Geography and the Faculty of Hydrology- Meteorology - Oceanography, officials, staff, students, alumni, and external stakeholders and visited the facilities of VNU and member universities.
